The Driver's Depot & Legacy Protective Coating Difference

Superior Material

Superior Material

Not all spray-in bedliners are created equal. We use a high-temperature, high-pressure spray-on coating technology designed to deliver a durable, strong, and dependable protective surface. Compared with DIY, low-pressure bedliner products, our professional application process provides a more robust coating system. Our material upgrade options are also designed to offer enhanced strength, flexibility, and resistance to demanding conditions.

Thickness

Thickness

When it comes to spray-in bedliners, thickness matters. We apply our bedliners at a greater thickness than many competing products and factory-installed coatings, helping provide an added layer of protection against scratches, impacts, and everyday cargo abuse. Our focus is on delivering a protective coating that does more than look good—it’s built to help your truck bed withstand real-world use. Because using less material can reduce coverage and protection, we prioritize the finished product rather than simply competing on price.

Options

Options

Every truck owner has different protection needs, which is why we offer multiple spray-in bedliner options. Our different formulas allow you to choose the level of protection and performance that best fits your truck and how you use it. Whether you use your truck for daily driving, hauling equipment, work, or recreation, we can help you find a spray-in bedliner option that fits your needs.

Coverage Area

Coverage Area

A great spray-in bedliner should protect more than just the center of your truck bed. We pay attention to the areas most vulnerable to damage, including key bed surfaces and the tailgate. Our goal is to provide more comprehensive coverage than many factory-installed and competing bedliner options, helping protect the areas exposed to sliding cargo, loading equipment, and everyday use. By focusing on coverage and application details, we deliver a cleaner, more complete protective finish.

Tougher. Stronger. Details matter. Built for real Life.

That’s The Driver's Depot & Legacy Difference.

LEGACY PROTECTIVE COATINGS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about our spray-in bedliners and protective coatings.

What exactly is your material?

We use professional, high-pressure, high-temperature spray-applied protective coating systems. The exact chemistry depends on the product you select.

Our lineup includes hybrid coating options and pure polyurea formulas. Ask our team which system is best suited to your truck and intended use.

What is the warranty on your spray-in bedliners?

>

Our bedliners come with a nationwide lifetime warranty and is backed by the Legacy Dealer Network Group and over 200 stores across the US and Canada. Our warranty covers non-commercial uses and is against any bubbling, cracking, peeling or flaking and is only applicable to the original purchaser. Contact us for additional warranty coverage details, duration, and exclusions for your selected coating. Warranty terms can vary by product.

Why is a spray-in bedliner better than a drop-in?

A professionally applied spray-in bedliner bonds to the properly prepared truck bed and conforms to its contours. Unlike a drop-in liner, it does not rely on a loose-fitting shell.

A drop-in liner can allow dirt and moisture to collect between the liner and the truck bed, potentially contributing to abrasion or corrosion. A spray-in coating provides a fitted, textured protective surface without a separate liner shell.

How does your spray-in bedliner compare to factory spray-in bedliners?

Factory bedliners vary by manufacturer, vehicle, and model year. We focus on thorough preparation, coverage of vulnerable areas, and applying a professional protective coating suited to your needs.

Our goal is to provide durable protection while covering key areas of the bed and tailgate that are prone to wear and damage. Ask us to compare the available options for your particular truck.

How is your spray-in bedliner different from other aftermarket options?

Details matter. We focus on material selection, preparation, application thickness, and coverage of vulnerable areas.

We use professional high-pressure, high-temperature application systems. Our different coating options allow customers to choose the level of protection and performance that best fits their needs.

How long does the process take?

Turnaround time depends on the truck, its condition, the preparation required, and the coating selected. We can provide an estimated completion time when scheduling your appointment.

If your truck has a bed cover, toolbox, hitch, or other accessories that need to be removed or masked, please let us know ahead of time.

How soon can I use my bedliner after it is sprayed?

The time required before use depends on the coating system and curing conditions. Our team will give you product-specific instructions for when your bedliner can be used and when it can be exposed to heavy loads, chemicals, or abrasion.

Follow the instructions provided at pickup to help your coating achieve the intended performance.

Can I install a bed cover or other accessories?

Yes! Many customers install tonneau covers, toolboxes, tie-downs, bed racks, and other truck accessories alongside a spray-in bedliner.

Let us know what accessories you have or plan to install so we can coordinate the preparation and coating process appropriately.

What do I need to do to maintain my spray-in bedliner?

Routine cleaning is generally all that is needed. Remove dirt, leaves, road salt, and other debris periodically using water and a suitable cleaner.

Avoid cleaners or chemicals that are not approved for your particular coating. Inspect the surface periodically for cuts, gouges, or damage, and contact us if repairs are needed.

Will a spray-in bedliner clog my drain holes?

Proper preparation and masking help keep factory drain holes, plugs, switches, and other functional openings clear. We take care to protect these areas during the application process.

If you notice a blocked drain or an issue after installation, contact us so it can be inspected.

What can your protective coatings be sprayed on?

Spray-applied protective coatings can be used on a variety of properly prepared substrates, depending on the coating system and intended application.

In addition to truck beds, other potential applications may include trailers, equipment, metal surfaces, and industrial components. Surface preparation, adhesion, and chemical or temperature exposure must be evaluated for each job.

Contact us with details about your project so we can determine whether one of our systems is suitable.

Can your protective coatings be removed?

Spray-in protective coatings are designed to adhere to the prepared surface, so removal is not usually a simple peel-off process.

Removal may require specialized mechanical methods and can damage the underlying paint or substrate. The best approach depends on the coating and the surface beneath it.

Our coatings vs. DIY options

DIY bedliner kits can be convenient for some projects, but they typically use a different application process than professional high-pressure systems.

Our professional application combines controlled material mixing, high-pressure application, and surface preparation. The coating system and the way it is applied can affect adhesion, durability, texture, and overall performance.

If you're comparing options, consider the material chemistry, applied thickness, surface preparation, coverage, and manufacturer's technical specifications rather than price alone.

I am getting a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch and electrical connection installed. Should I do this before or after the bedliner is sprayed?

Ideally, coordinate the hitch and electrical work with your bedliner appointment before the installation dates are finalized.

If the hitch requires cutting, drilling, or other work in the bed, completing that work before the coating is applied can help avoid damaging a finished liner. If the hitch is already installed, let us know so we can plan the preparation and masking accordingly.

For the best result, discuss your specific hitch and installation plan with both installers.

Is paint peeling a risk?

Any coating applied over existing paint depends on the condition of that paint and proper surface preparation. Loose, poorly bonded, or failing paint can compromise adhesion.

We prepare the surface for coating application, but an existing paint defect or weak factory paint can still affect the finished result. Tell us about any peeling, repairs, or paint concerns before your appointment.

Are spray-in bedliners repairable?

Yes, some damage to a spray-in bedliner can be repaired, depending on the coating, the severity of the damage, and the condition of the underlying surface.

Contact us to have the damaged area evaluated. Proper preparation and compatibility with the original coating are important for a successful repair.

What kind of prep is needed before the bedliner is applied?

Typically, we just ask that your vehicle is clean of debris. Removing trailer hitches ahead of time can also help make the process easier.

Additional charges may apply for excessive debris removal or for removing or masking accessories such as bed covers, gooseneck hitches, aftermarket lighting, and toolboxes.

We do not charge extra for removing or masking factory lights, plugs, and switches.

Our protective coating can cover some very minor imperfections, but larger dents and gouges can still show through the finished coating. If you plan to have dents repaired, have that work completed before your bedliner appointment.

Before your appointment: Remove loose debris and let us know about any accessories that may need to be removed or masked. Contact us if you have questions about preparing your truck.
